PV Sindhu, Mirabai Chanu, Nikhat Zareen, Lovlina Borgohain, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Bajrang Punia, and Vinesh Phogat are among the top Indian athletes who will be representing the country at the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.
Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist in badminton, will be aiming to defend her gold medal from the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Chanu, a world champion weightlifter, will be hoping to add to her impressive medal tally.
Zareen, the reigning world champion in boxing, will be a strong contender in her category. Borgohain, a two-time Olympian in boxing, will also be looking to make a strong impact.
In wrestling, Dahiya and Punia will be favorites to win medals in their respective weight categories. Phogat, a three-time Commonwealth Games medalist, will also be aiming for a podium finish in wrestling.
The Commonwealth Games 2022 will be held in Birmingham, England, from July 28 to August 8. The Indian contingent will be aiming to make a strong impression and return with a rich haul of medals.
