New England Patriots Football Kit History
Early Years
The original logo of the Boston Patriots, a blue tri-corner hat on a white background, was designed by fan Walter Pingree in 1960. The team's first uniforms were simple, featuring white helmets with a red stripe and blue jerseys with white numbers.
Modern Era
In 2000, the Patriots underwent a major rebranding, ditching the royal blue for the navy jerseys and silver pants of the modern era. The team's logo also underwent a change, with the introduction of a new and improved Pat Patriot, who became the face of the franchise for the next 33 years.
